Udirect Secures Oracle Global Marketing Shared Services Contract

Singapore, April 9 – Oracle, one of the world’s leading, global software giants, has selected database marketing specialist, UdirectAsia to support its global database marketing systems in Asia Pacific.

The partnership, which commences immediately, will see Udirect lending its expertise and services as part of Oracle’s global shared marketing services team. The company will be responsible for supporting all Oracle offices in the Asia Pacific as well as the US in a one-year arrangement with the software giant.

The deal which was inked in Singapore will see Udirect offering its database support services from its headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.

From Oracle’s perspective, the partnership will enable the company to create a centralised support for database marketing – gaining reduced cost advantages, faster response times and other operational advantages.

“We’re pleased about this development (with Oracle). It is testament to our capability, competence and our established track record of delivering quality systems and processes and most importantly, accurate data.” said Udirect CEO, Michael Chia.

Good Track Record & Local Experience Criteria for Oracle’s Selection

Oracle’s decision to select Udirect was made on the basis of the latter’s track record with Oracle Malaysia in providing database maintenance and management services since 2005.

The reason cited was the in-depth understanding of the complexities and intricacies of data in local databases as well as the outsourcing advantages of leveraging on a Malaysian company such as multiple language capabilities, skilled talent, good infrastructure and lower operating costs.

No doubt, the regional partnership with Oracle will further cement Udirect’s position as the key solutions vendor to manage the complexities of Asia Pacific databases. Buoyed by this achievement, the company is looking to secure more Asia Pacific contracts through its regional positioning in Singapore.
